Where do Jonathan and Kathleen serve?

Jonathan and Kathleen both work at Gateway to Grace Fellowship, an Evangelical Presbyterian Church in South City, Saint Louis. Gateway to Grace is part of the Urban Ministry Network, a network of churches within the Evangelical Presbyterian Church that focuses on ministering in urban city centers across the U.S.

What ministry do they perform at Gateway to Grace Fellowship?

Jonathan and Kathleen both work a minimum of 15 hours per week at Gateway to Grace.

Kathleen's responsibilities include: teaching a woman's small group, teaching a teenage girl's Bible study, overseeing discipleship for all women in the church, taking part in planning and executing outreach events, helping to administrate Angel Food, and so much more.

Jonathan's responsibilities are: leading a men's small group, administrating the children's ministry, helping to develop a young community development center called Doulos (meaning "slave/servant" in Greek), taking part in planning and executing outreach events, and occasionally Brad will give Jonathan the honor to preach on Sunday mornings.

How is compensation established for Jonathan and Kathleen?

Jonathan and Kathleen will work under an agreed upon hourly rate. This rate will determine their compensation based upon the number of hours they work per week.


What accountability is in place to ensure Jonathan and Kathleen's work performance.

On the last week of each month Jonathan and Kathleen will meet with Pastor Werner to discuss their job performance and will fill out an evaluation sheet. This evaluation sheet will be posted online and shared with supporters. You will be able to see exactly how Jonathan and Kathleen spend each week serving at Gateway to Grace.
